This was the best tour I went to here, so far. Seeing and enjoying a part of the history of great Mr Pablo… Amazing. We had a lovely girl to guide us through the property, her name is Zulma, she was really great, going into details of his life and his business, and all that in English, for which we are very grateful. The tour is the one you should not miss if you are in Medellin even for a day or two. Well done for preserving a part of history, and showing it uncensored to the world! We had the best time, thank you again so much!
Very disappointing place. It is a small house with a small garden hard to believe that Escobar lived there. In this house lives his nephew where he added some items and lots of pictures. The tour guide highlight the good work of Escobar and make him sound as hero. Watching a movie would have more enjoyable. The cost is 90000 COP about $25USD.
Since we were in Medellin, we thought it would be natural to visit the Paulo Escobar Museum. Incredibly disappointing experience. They run this as a pure business. Incredibly commercial. Without any kind of genuine enthusiasm and desire to tell about a real event
Price: We had to pay 90,000 pesos for half an hour and there were only few random things. It was not a full-fledged museum for this price. And in the and they had the audacity to ask for a donation to see his bunker to «keep his good reputation alive»
The museum is run by Escobar's nephew so we understand if the guide has been given restrictions on what to say and not but they owned little integrity in their statements, no form of objectivity.no matter what crimes Escobar had committed, they had an excuse followed by a "he helped the poor. " They justified his murder as "yes but they kept quiet about him, or 27 million had disappeared so that's understandable". The personals opinions were obvious
Very happy with this tour. We had an English speaking guide who was very thorough and knowledgeable. The tour was a little pricey for an external tour of the property ($22 USD). I wish we got a tour of the inside of the house, but still recommend going to this museum.
Short story: If you are looking to see the actual place where Escobar lived, this is not it.
Long review: This is a spin off on an actual Pablo Escobar mansion. A person at the gift shop will greet you and right away ask where you are from. I believe that will determine the price of admission. For us it was 180000 cop per 2 people. We saw 1 bunker, 1 car, 1 plane, 1 gazebo full of items, and the entire "museum" was about 100m in size. You'll have to sit down on a red plastic chair behind the car and listen to a guy talk for a long time about every little detail of Escobar's life in what seems to be a clear admiration for him. That will be your "tour". When I asked him about the actual mansion tour he said he didn't know anything about it. He knew everything else though, so I found that lie to be even more distasteful than the tour.
Awesome experience! Very detailed tour of pablos life! We had the best tour guide “El Cubano” to takes us and gives us a visual of the true story of Pablo Escobar
If you’re in Medellin and interested in seeing into the life of Pablo Escobar I would recommend this place. There are several objects (cars/jet ski/karaoke machine) here that were owned by Escobar. The staff gives a very detailed view into the life of Pablo and his family. However, this place is a money grab, trying to profit on the name of Escobar. It’s to be expected with museums like this so just expect that going in. If you have some extra time and are interested in the story of Pablo, I would recommend.
I loved this tour! We had Mario as our tour guide & he was amazing! Very attentive to detail, made sure everyone got the information, & great at translating. He had English & Spanish speakers on the tour, great at making sure we all got the info. I would recommend this tour for people who want the real history from Pablo’s family. 10/10 would recommend!
Wonderful storytelling by Mario! Excellent guide that speaks English. I got to see Pablo in a different way. Worth the 90 minute tour! (It lasted this long because I asked questions.a lot of questions)
From the exhibits in the museum there are photographs from the Internet, the car that was shot at, some kind of plane and the charm of the guide! For $ 30, you could think of something more interesting. I think I wasted my time and money in this place.
We loved the tour with Mario. So much interesting storys which you dont hear in movies. Man it was just amazing. Thank you so much. Dont miss the chance to hear about Pablo Escobars history. Mario was the best and you have to do this tour!
Highly recommend this tour of the museum. There are actual vehicles from attempted assassinations of Escobar, as well as facts about Escobar socializing with american entertainers. You will learn alot and so be surprised about alot of the information you will learn. Mario is a great tour guide and was a pleasure as my tour guide.
Thanks William for taking us on a journey through Pablo's life. The day has been very interesting, but the way you have driven the day kept all of us enjoying the time. This is certainley a great Escobar tour. It gets 5 stars for a reason.
Amazing and informative tour. Mario was extremely informative and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the history of Pablo while laughing the whole time. Felt more like we were chatting with a good friend rather than doing a tour. Highly recommend this tour over others. Had an amazing time!
It's a good tour but very expensive (90000). Not worth the money. And in the end the guide ask for a tip. The guide was very friendly but the tour was already very expensive for also five a tip. And actually you don't enter in any house, it's just the garden with belongings and history of Pablo.
William was the most amazing tour guide! We had an amazing tour and a very unique experience. Highly recommend! Learned much more about the history of Pablo! Thanks William! We even got to “see” Pablo! Don’t miss it!
