Salsa Classes Medellin

I got to Medellin and paid a deposit in order to start the process of finding an instructor for me. After a week they weren’t able to find anyone for me. That’s fine, I’ll go somewhere else.

Two months later and about 40 messages back and forth and still haven’t received my deposit back. I get idiotic replies that I can’t speak with the team in charge of handling refunds directly. How hard is it to send someone back a PayPal?

Feels like a scam to me.

Llegué a Medellín y pagué un depósito para iniciar el proceso de búsqueda de un instructor para mí. Después de una semana no pudieron encontrar a nadie para mí. Está bien, iré a otro lado.

Dos meses después, alrededor de 40 mensajes de ida y vuelta y todavía no he recibido mi depósito. Recibo respuestas idiotas de que no puedo hablar directamente con el equipo a cargo de manejar los reembolsos. ¿Qué tan difícil es devolverle a alguien un PayPal?

Me parece una estafa.

Excellent. The process to get started is simple and quick. They'll make sure there's a studio close to where you're staying to have your private lessons. I've had two instructors in Medellín so far, Marilyn and Laura, and both are awesome. A great deal for the price.

Great service and collection of teachers. Teachers are great and they were really flexible on timing & location of lessons to accommodate my weird travel schedule! Had a blast over 10 hours of instruction, would do again.

Really good expérience with Angie. I learn very quickly caleno salsa with her, and it is wonderfull. Only problem are we dance in studio of hostel Who's far of my hostel instead à dance studio close to my hostel. But thank you Angie!

I took 20 hours of private salsa dancing classes with Teacher Dayana through Salsa Classes Medellin and had an incredible time! She is an amazing teacher, will work at your speed, and is really fun to work with. She has a lot of patience and knows a big variety of dance styles, so whatever you’d like to learn she’ll be able to help you! I highly recommend Dayana as a teacher, and Salsa Classes Medellin did a great job of setting everything up and were easy to work with. Thank you so much!

Ella es una maestra muy chevere, enseña a tu ritmo, y está muy divertido. Tendrás una clase de diversión. I and 3 friends had a 5 hour session with Paola and Luisa in Medellin. Both the instructors were very technical and patient. They taught us quite a few moves in a 2 hour session, and then took us to a club to practice Salsa in a real environment. We had a lot of fun, I would highly recommend.

Excellent service. Extremely easy to organize classes online. I started the process in the evening and the following afternoon I started my first lesson. Very efficient process.

I had ten hours of Salsa and Bachata lessons with Emely and I really enjoyed it.
I'm a 59 year old man with some extra weight and she was very patient with me. I had no experience with Salsa or Bachata.
The studio was convenient.

I did 12 hours of classes with Lucia, she is amazing! I was able to schedule at a location near hostel I was staying in. Can't recommend strongly enough. I extended my stay in Medellín because I wanted more classes with Lucia. She is incredibly patient, talented, and experienced.

Great experience! It was very easy to sign up for classes online through SCM. I was quickly paired with a wonderful instructor (and very talented dancer) who over the course of my lessons taught me all about the different salsa styles - plus, on my request, some bachata, champeta and reggaeton. Alejo brought great energy (and patience!) to every class and kindly invited me to dance whenever we were out at the same salsa club - always fun to show off my new moves!

What an amazing experience I had learning how to dance Salsa and Bachata. My instructor, Jessie, was very talented, knowledgeable, and patient with my less-than-ideal gringa moves! She came to my home, which was very convenient for my busy schedule. I will definitely choose Salsa Classes Medellín again when I am ready for more lessons! They are true professionals.with excellent customer service.and they did a great job matching me with an instructor that was a good fit for my skill level! Truly enjoyed the experience!

Amazing! It's easy to set up classes, the teachers come to your neighborhood, and everyone seems to be super responsive and organized. Plus, I had a blast learning to salsa, despite my awkward, can't-dance self! My teacher, Sebastian, was fun, and he hit a great balance of slowing down to explain and speeding up to push my learning.

I came to Cali for some salsa classes. I send salsa classes Medellin a message and I could start the same day. I had Lucia as instructor and she is the best. I leaned so much from her in only 6 hours and I had so much fun! I really recommend her as a teacher. Thanks a lot for the great lessons and for you patient Lucia.

I spent two months in Medellín and have tried several salsa schools but at the end decided for Salsa Classes Medellin. I had Mauricio as instructor and he is the best. He is very professional, and I really liked the concept that we focused on what I wanted to learn. After a little while I could keep up with the Colombians in the salsa bars – which you might know is quite a challenge Thank you Mauricio!

I had a fantastic experience with Salsa Medellin.
Comunication was very efficient (in both English and Spanish) and I thoroughly enjoyed my classes with my teacher Julian. He was professional and in the short time I had with him he gave me lots of useful advice to improve my dancing. I would highly recommend this company!

I learned salsa with Lucia in Cali, i started with 2 left feet and amazingly she made me good. She is very patient and attentive. Shes an amazing girl and I recommend to learn with her. I actually watched her and her partner Carlos in the salsa world finals in cali and you will not learn from anybody better.

I had the pleasure of having Dayana Oropeza as a teacher, although it was only 5 hours I learned a lot and would have liked to book more hours if possible. Communication was always prompt. I would highly recommend them.

I thoroughly enjoy my dance sessions with my instructor Marilyn. She knows what I want from the classes, and focuses on how to get me there. Straight from the get go, she focused on how I should lead, which is an important aspect for a male dancer. I feel each class is tailored to my progress; so I learn something new every time yet still don't get overwhelmed. She is very patient with me, and takes the time to go through each step; I love that she explains and pays attention to the little details, like where/when to apply pressure, hand position, how to identify the rhythm of a song etc. Marilyn also goes above and beyond, to help me improve and get the most enjoyment out of dancing. For example, when I told her I had trouble leading other dance partners while practising at the clubs, she brought a friend of hers who did not know Salsa/Bachata to dance with me in class, so Marilyn could give me pointers on how to lead an inexperienced dance partner. That was very sweet of her to do that, and extremely helpful for me. Marilyn always has a smile, and is very friendly; I feel very comfortable dancing with her. Even though it can hard work, we always have good fun in class. I will always remember her telling me in class “más intención, más energía. ¡empújame! ” Good times:)

Setting up the classes was super easy; I filled in the web form, and within a short time, I got contacted by Ana and Luigi, even though it was in the evening on the weekend. I got introduced to my instructor Marilyn, we arranged the time and place for the classes, and the rest is history!

When I signed up, one of the first things Lucia told me was: “. You will be ready for the party” Although I still have much more to learn and improve, I can now enjoy dancing Salsa and Bachata at the clubs on the weekend, after being given a decent foundation and a nice repertoire of moves. I wholeheartedly recommend taking classes from Salsa Classes Medellin if you would like to be ready for the fiesta too ;)

I contacted Salsa Classes Medellin one day before my arrival to Medellin. Communication, scheduling and finding a teacher based on my availability was smooth. Mr. Waldy was my teacher. He’s my hero now!

I came to Medellin to improve my Spanish and volunteer. In a short space of time I found that salsa is the other religion in Colombia and resistance is futile. I set about looking for a school and came across salsa classes Medellin. They seemed like such a nice bunch of people and they couldn't have paired me with a more perfect teacher. Andres is just the best and I've learned so much in a short space of time. I was really nervous to start with but he put at ease straight away and before the end of our first hour I'd already done a couple of turns and not fallen over. The bonus is I get extra Spanish practice with him. I think the school really takes the time to find the right person for you and that's invaluable. I'm now off to Cali for a month to practice all I've learned. There's no way I'd even be thinking about it without these classes. Thank you so much and special thanks to Andres, you're a superstar:)
