The Somos Hotel

The somos es más que un hotel, es una experiencia, los descubrí y ya no me quiero quedar en otro lado. Todos los hoteles son una belleza.

Es un hotel fuera de lo común las habitaciones son muy lindas, el hotel muy moderno y con un diseño increíble, me encanta que tenga tanta naturaleza y que su ubicación sea tan cercana a toda la vida nocturna. El personal muy querido y muy amable, el desayuno también estaba fantástico. En resumidas, un hospedaje increíble!

La habitación era acogedora y limpia. Netflix no funcionó en mi habitación y la unidad de aire acondicionado tenía un código de error, por lo que no funcionó. Afortunadamente no hizo nada de calor. Puede resultar un poco ruidoso ya que estás al lado de una calle muy transitada. Asegúrate de llevar tapones para los oídos. Hay muchos restaurantes y tiendas alrededor. ¡Asegúrate de visitar la cafetería de abajo! Es asombroso. No revisé la azotea debido al clima, ¡pero asegúrate de hacerlo!

Lugar espectacular para hospedarse, servicio muy bueno, el personal súper amable, la comida es deliciosa, lo recomiendo muchísimo

El ambiente es bueno siempre que te guste la fiesta. La habitación es un poco oscura pero con la ventana amplia se equipará, sin embargo tiene varias cosas negativas: TEN MUCHO CUIDADO SI TE DAN LA HABITACIÓN 1001 está habitación está debajo de su “bar” y no dejan de hacer ruido o arrastrar sillas hasta la 1: 00 o 2: 00 pero aún más feo es que dejan el piso del pasillo todo pegajoso, el internet es pésimo en esta habitación, no hay bote de basura más que en el baño y es súper raro que quieren cobrarte una “garantía” pidiéndote los números de tu tarjeta de crédito si no no te dejan pasar, les recomiendo hacerlo en efectivo y por último el desayuno es hasta las 8: 00 siendo que en la mayoría de los hoteles es a las 6: 00 así que si tienes que salir temprano olvídate de desayunar.

My room was in the 4th floor so I had no too much problem with noise. (I was there from Monday to Wednesday)
Staff: efficient
Room: spacious
Bed: super comfortable + good size
AC, bathroom, forniture, towels: good.
Common areas: excellent.

El hotel tiene un diseño increíble, y la calidad del servicio es excelente de todo el personal sobre todo del dueño que siempre está muy atento al huésped. Tiene servicio de excursiones privado muy recomendable con precios accesibles, y el desayuno es muy rico y abundando.
Lo mejor de todo es que en las habitaciones con baño privado, el mismo está separado de la ducha lo que posibilita el uso de ambos a la par y da mayor comodidad pa y a los huéspedes que comparten habitación.

The room is nice and spacious although some details really don't work: light in the bathroom is terrible, very limited towels, no extra toilet paper, no hairBut the worst is the noise. The music and the bass coming from the club downstairs are SO LOUD that the room is literally shaking

Really nice hotel! High quality beds, good and healthy breakfast awesome rooftop bar and professional staff! I really loved to stay here.
Air quality in rooms is clean and suits well with sensitive persons like me. I stayed here twice on my work trip to Medellin. If I need to come back this is my no1 choice.

Sometimes you hear the music from neighbouring clubs but it didn’t bother me.

Internet is quite fast and I could work very well from my room and from lobby.

Where do I start? ! I celebrated a week long birthday here and it was the best decision ever. From the staff to the food this hotel is amazing! With it being a boutique hotel it really offers familiarity that is so comforting especially when visiting a new country. Jason at the front desk deserves a hospitality of the year award! From check in and beyond he offered great suggestions on local restaurants and areas to visit. He is very agile when responding and enforces security measures! This hotel is so close to everything you can truly explore Poblado SAFELY! The breakfast is included and is super good. The rooms are very urban loft style with a mini fridge. I loved it!

Unless your brain dead don’t stay here. They will charge you for everything and the music is so loud I didn’t need to go to the club because my room was shaking till 4am. Completely regret staying here….

***NOISE DISCLAIMER***

I stayed for 5 nights, mix of work/pleasure. If noise is an issue for you (and I’m not talking minor noise, it’s LOUD as others have noted), do not stay here on the weekends. If noise on weekend nights are not an issue, this spot is pretty awesome.

Pros:
- Room was very spacious,
- very clean,
- beds were comfortable,
- very nice trendy rooftop with great views of the city
- staff was super nice for entirely of stay from check in to dining to housekeeping
- breakfast was very good (fruit bowls, egg sandwiches, coffee and juices were all great)

Cons:
- noise at night is LOUD coming from the club Calle 9. Be aware of this from Thurs-Sat nights. Literally can feel the bass from your rooms.
- wifi in room was a little slow at times, but working in the cafe and lobby were good

Es un boutique hotel así que es pequeño; bien pequeño pero muy moderno, con mucho color. Es un Hotel diferente, diría Yo único. El ROOFTOP del Hotel es PRECIOSO con una vista ESPECTACULAR. Las camas y las almohadas son sumamente cómodas.

The hotel is great but not for people who actually want to sleep. We stayed for one night and the hotel is next to a club. The noise at our room it literally felt like we were at the clubs bathroom, no joke. We complained 2 times, but there were no other rooms avaiable and the solution they gave us was to call the police. Well, we ended up getting some sleep at 3am. Next morning they said that the room they gave us is mostly for people who come for the city to party. Well they didnt mentioned it at the time we booked, so we wended up touristing tired as hell.

I love this Hotel and the staff so it pains me to give it a 4 star review. I just had a few complaints:

I adore the open concept of the hotel but noise insulation is a problem. This Hotel is in a fantastic but noisy neighborhood so you can expect a lot of noise for at least 18 hours a day. The hotel provides earplugs but I didn’t find them to be sufficient and they kept on falling out of my ears.

Air quality is another concern with the open concept, since the air quality in Medellin isn’t great. When I first arrived in my room I found the air to be very stale and unpleasant but turning on the AC did improve the air quality. I just hope they clean and replace the filters on a regular basis.

The bathroom mirrors aren’t well designed. The lighting in the bathroom isn’t great and the mirror is positioned far away from where you stand which does not provide good visibility if you’re trying to shave or do your makeup.

Plants - everywhere! A hipster's dream of a hostel come true. Very clean and great facilities, location also very good.

Hotel nuevo y muy agradable. Los cuartos son súper amplios y muy cómodos. Estuvimos muy bien! Lo único es que hay poca variedad en el desayuno, se escoge entre tres opciones. Súper recomendado!

Excelente ambiente. El roof top es lo mejor.que ambiente tan bacano. Recomendado 100% y la vista desde allí espectacular

No muy recomendable para las personas que sean muy sensibles al ruido porque cerca quedan discotecas con música alta.

Great stay for a couple of nights with the family while visiting Medellin. Rooms were clean, staff were very friendly and attentive. Great omelette on toast included to start the morning. Conveniently located to restaurants and short walk to the Metro.

Staff is top notch and the rooms are perfect! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. This is primarily a boutique hotel with a couple hostel dorm rooms. The room was modern and clean, showers were warm, outlets next to the bed, incredible breakfast included, and solid wifi throughout. I couldn't ask for anything more! I kept extending my stay because i didn't want to leave.

El hotel es muy bonito y moderno, sus empleados son muy amables y simpáticos, y el desayuno realmente delicioso.

El hotel tiene un gran diseño, ambientes súper cool y los empleados muy amables. Abajo tienen restaurante con comida deliciosa, bebidas y ambiente tropical. Me encantaron los Huevos Cucayo y las sodas.

Probé 3 modalidades de alojamiento (en litera, habitación privada para 4 y habitación privada para 2) y todas me parecieron increíbles. El servicio es muy superior al precio, el desayuno incluido es imperdible! Recomendaciones: las de cualquier hostal: llevar tapones de oído si eres muy sensible al ruido
