My family and I had the opportunity to enjoy three different types of cold refreshments from Shake2Go. The menu offers a system that allows you to mix and match a base flavor of ice cream or yogurt to make your drink and then add whatever mixtures of sauce and toppings - sweet or savory. Or choose from their Penguin mascot’s recommended combinations.
As for us, we had the following:
First, was the Smoothie of Mango Biche. While this is a cool and refreshing drink, if you are not supposed to eat too much salt or suffer from high blood pressure, I would choose one of their many other smoothies options or go for it in their smallest size so as to be able to enjoy it another day too ;-). Here’s to your health! (On the other hand if you love salted Mexican margaritas then this is right up your alley.)
The second was their Yogushake of blackberry (mora). Fresh fruit topped this yogurt based drink with swirls of mora sauce blended in. I found it to be perfectly balanced for my taste with the sweet, tanginess of the yogurt and tart and sweet of the fruit. A restorative beverage after a hot day.
Finally, the last.a dessert and then some.you will not be disappointed. Do you enjoy coconut? How about sweet cream? How about crushed cookies in your ice cream? How about.you know what? Go to Shake2Go and ask to try the “Malteada de Vainilla con Cocosette y Leche Condensada”. If you have a sweet tooth, you will certainly feel satiated from this concoction.
But if you really want to enjoy this place go with at least three other friends. Take extra cups and spoons with you, maybe scrounge for a couple straws. Then, each of you buy one “2Go”. Head to your nearest table or park bench or steps, have a seat and get comfortable. Start with your first sample, move to the next and enjoy the “ice cream social” event of your day commiserating on your new find and chat about the fun you’ve had during your day. Guarantee of smiles all around.
