Ocean Lovers Taganga - PADI 5* Dive Resort

Me lo pasé genial haciendo seis divertidas inmersiones con amantes del océano durante los últimos tres días.

Hice todas mis inmersiones con el maestro de buceo Yoni, quien no solo me ayudó a superar un ataque de pánico (eso me habría costado toda mi experiencia de buceo) sino que también fue un tipo muy amigable y conocedor.

Incluso sin poder hablar bajo el agua, puedes sentir su energía y él se asegurará de que tengas una experiencia de buceo divertida y segura. Me enseñó algunas cosas nuevas y estuvo constantemente atento a ayudarme (ajustando mi equipo, ayudándome con la flotabilidad, permitiéndome agarrarlo en mala visibilidad, etc.).

La escuela en sí está muy bien equipada y los demás miembros del personal y los instructores de buceo fueron muy amables, aunque yo no buceé con ellos.

Incluso tienen un albergue al lado donde puedes quedarte, lo cual es muy conveniente, especialmente si estás obteniendo una certificación.

El equipo en sí parecía estar en muy buen estado y cuando alguien mencionó un problema menor con su equipo, lo arreglaron rápidamente antes de entrar al agua.

Hicimos nuestro curso de aguas abiertas aquí y nos encantó. Personal y equipo muy profesionales. Luisina fue una instructora muy, amable y paciente que nos hizo sentir muy cómodos para ir y permanecer bajo el agua. Aunque el Tayrona estaba cerrado y la visibilidad era mala. Aún así lo disfrutamos y aprendimos mucho.

Tomé el programa para principiantes de medio día 'Discover Scuba Diving' con Ocean Lovers, era la primera vez que practicaba buceo.

Me gustaría poder dejar una reseña totalmente positiva, pero me temo que no es el caso. Se supone que el programa repasará los conceptos básicos del buceo, que es lo que buscaba como primera experiencia.

Sin embargo, nunca llegamos a practicar habilidades esenciales con las que todo el mundo debería sentirse seguro antes de bucear para mantenerse a salvo, como recuperar el regulador si lo pierde. Nuestro instructor nos dio una breve explicación teórica y se suponía que debíamos practicar esta y otras habilidades básicas en el agua antes de bucear, pero en realidad nunca lo hicimos. Simplemente nos lanzamos directamente al buceo sin practicar ninguna práctica sobre cómo recuperar el regulador y otras medidas.

Eso no es lo que esperaba de un programa para principiantes. Realmente no me sentí seguro buceando porque no aprendí las habilidades básicas sobre cómo actuar si algo no salía según lo planeado. ¡Afortunadamente todo salió muy bien durante la inmersión y no tuve que hacer mi primera prueba sobre cómo recuperar el regulador en las profundidades del agua!

Además tuve problemas para equilibrar una de las orejas mientras descendía. El instructor estaba consciente de ello pero aun así insistió en que profundizara más. Bueno, después de la inmersión me sentí muy mal por eso (no pude hacer la segunda inmersión) y tuve problemas en el oído durante toda la semana.

Todavía le daré 3 estrellas porque parece ser una buena escuela de buceo y los instructores y el personal estaban apasionados por el buceo. Sin embargo, realmente espero que puedan tomarse más en serio el hecho de enseñar habilidades básicas a los novatos antes de su primera inmersión, ya que es esencial para la seguridad.

Todavía tuve una maravillosa experiencia de buceo por la cual estoy agradecido, pero supongo que tendré que repetir un programa para principiantes la próxima vez.

Después de visitar por segunda vez esta escuela de buceo de Fundives y quedarme encantado, hice mi curso de rescate. Todo el equipo de Oceanlovers es fantástico. El equipamiento también está en óptimas condiciones. Fernando fue un gran instructor para este curso tan interesante y al mismo tiempo desafiante.
Sólo puedo recomendar esta escuela de buceo a todo el mundo, tanto para fundives como para cualquier curso.

Después de hacer mi curso de rescate aquí, inmediatamente hice mi curso de divemaster aquí. En un período de aproximadamente 6 semanas, no sólo aprendí muchísimo sobre la teoría y la práctica del buceo, sino que también me convertí en parte de la familia OceanLovers. El ambiente en la escuela de buceo es único y recomendaría a todos que elijan esta escuela de buceo. Todos los que trabajan en esta escuela de buceo ponen su corazón y alma en ello y siempre se esfuerzan por brindar a cada buceador la mejor experiencia posible. Gracias a todos en esta escuela de buceo por este fantástico momento.

El esnórquel en sí fue divertido y vimos muchos peces.
Sin embargo, no puedo dar 5 estrellas ya que no nos dijeron que no era un viaje solo de snorkel. Pensamos que era un grupo pequeño con el que salimos al mar a hacer snorkel. En cambio, salimos con los buzos (después de esperar una eternidad a que todos obtuvieran su equipo, etc.) donde nos dijeron que podíamos saltar aquí y bucear mientras los demás buceaban. Solo, sin guía ni explicación. En general, era demasiado caro para eso. Prefiero hacer un viaje extra solo para buceadores)

Ya he realizado mi curso open water y advance, y ha sido la mejor experiencia, los instructores Andrés y Jorge, muy buenos pacientes y te hacen tener la mejor experiencia, también realice algunos fun dive con el dive master Johnny y fue una experiencia muy buena, siempre con su disposición de enseñar para mejorar el buceo y las técnicas y mostrando las bellezas Del Mar, los lugares de buceo muy lindos llenos de vida y corales. La mejor experiencia

Professional diving school with nice and patient instructors. I have had a bad experience in the past and went diving here with dive instructor Jens, who was really patient and gave me the confidence to have an awesome experience! Really recommend. Staff speaks good English.

Amazing diving school, was there for two days of fun dives and enjoyed it a lot! Very professional, good equipment, very friendly and helpful staff! We had a lot of fun and dived some amazing sites:) If Jonny joins, one can be assured to have amazing pictures of the dive afterwards, he is such a great underwater photographer:)

We had a great morning diving with Ocean Lovers and Jonny. The dive centre was very responsive and flexible in organising the dive. The equipment was of a high standard and there was only the 2 of us with 1 divemaster which was great. Jonny was a great guide and showed us loads of interesting marine life. The dives were really great value and as relatively new divers we're pleased we chose Ocean Lovers.

Really enjoyed our dive with ocean lovers. My girlfriend did her second discovery dive at Ocean Lovers after a very bad first scuba experience in Thailand. She was quite nervous but the professionalism and relaxed attitude of the instructors made it a perfect experience for her. Also very nice I could come along with her dive even tough I am experienced and certified (this is not always the case with other shops).

In Tayrona park is lots to see, lots of fish, turtles, beautiful corals and even a seahorse:)

Amazing experience! We did the Discovery Scuba Diving Program and had Jorge as our instructor. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and funny. He made us feel comfortable and safe the entire time. Saw so many beautiful types of fish and plants near the coast of Tayrona. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of taking a one-day diving course with Jorge, and it was an amazing experience for beginners like myself. Jorge was an exceptional instructor who made me feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire course. He was patient and knowledgeable, providing clear and concise instructions and giving me plenty of time to practice before taking me on a guided dive. The dive itself was breathtaking, with an abundance of colorful marine life and crystal-clear waters. Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to get into diving. Amazing experience wirh Ocean Lovers Taganga. Went there for the Padi Open Water Certificate. Our Coach Andres did an amazing job and introduced us in the beautiful underwater world. The first day I was very afraid but Andres gave me a lot of confidence. He also gave me security under water, so I ended up with the certificate! Thanks Andre and the whole Team for beeing such a good company and the wonderful days in Taganga! Would recommend this dive center to everyone and especially for those, who start diving (like me).

I’d thought about getting my diving certificate for years but kept putting it off as I was actually SO nervous and once I even put the deposit down for this I almost backed out of doing it even then- but am now so happy I did it! The instructors, Melanie and Daniel, were especially amazing! They were both so patient, made everything super fun and made you feel at ease and comfortable while still ensuring you understood everything to dive safely. I got to experience a whole new underwater world diving at Tayrona Park that was full of beautiful coral and the most insane colourful fish. I can’t thank Ocean Lovers enough and would recommend them 1000000x to anyone!

Expertly run professional dive shop with master diver dive leaders and first class crew. Don’t hesitate. I have 35 logged dives and have been diving all over the world. This experience was as good if not better than any of them. Booking from afar was made simple and clear by Steven. His English is excellent. Boat was super condition. All dive equipment was in excellent condition. I stayed at the apartment accommodation in the same building as the dive shop and it was as expected. Served the purpose in a no frills cost effective way. By design. Diving was high quality with good aquatic life. I would recommend to Rec divers from anywhere. Ocean Lovers is first rate.

Gran centro de buceo. Todo el personal es muy buena onda y diligente. Las salidas súper organizadas. Los lugares de buceo estuvieron increíbles, pudimos ver de todo. Mención especial a Johny que fue nuestro divemaster, siempre de buen humor, atento y mostrando todo en las inmersiones para que no nos perdamos nada. 100% recomendado.

I came in with my sons to do a couple of dives and ended up doing 7 dives and getting Advanced Open Water Certification. Jorge was patient and great with us, especially as we hadn’t dived in a few years and were rusty and out of shape. Highly recommend this place for beginner or advanced dives.

Absolutely 100% would recommend this dive shop! We did our rescue dive course at Ocean Lovers and we had a great experience. Not only was the course tailored to us and our learning process, we felt free to shape the days as we went (boyfriend was recovering from food poisoning) and influence the daily programs based on our energy. In our experience the rescue course was physically the most challenging so far but Andrès guided us with jokes, lightness and motivation through it all. Everyone in the shop is open, willing to help where they can and the animals wondering around are just a bonus:)

My 3 day stay in Taganga turned into 3.5 weeks, because I not only fell in love with diving, but also Ocean Lovers. They say people make the place, and without a doubt Ocean Lovers has the best people who became my family for a few weeks. Bruno is a wonderfully patient instructor, and all the other amazing people (Charles, Stephanie, Ada, Cheo, Jorge, Jonny, Yonatan, etc plus the pets) are greatly missed. Beautiful dive sites. Highly recommend without reservations.

Really nice Diving School. I did my open water and open water advanced there within 5 days. I am absolutely happy with the week. The team was great, the places to dive were also beautiful. And the prices in Taganga for the license are very cheap. All in all a clear recommendation from me:)

It is with great sadness that I leave this review. The dive center itself is great with very good facilities. However, our dive master, Johnny, displayed abhorrent behaviour and practices when we had our fun dives with him that would fly in the face and go against all PADI training, rules and regulations. When we scuba dive we are guests underwater and should not interfere with our underwater friends. Johnny was frequently touching the beautiful flora and fauna. Some low points were when he picked up a sleeping scorpion fish, and when he encouraged the whole group to touch a sea cucumber whilst he acted inappropriately with it. Other substandard practices included him telling the whole group (who were all below dive master qualified) to descend without him so he could show off and descend into the water without his BCD on.

This instills bad practices to the learners of this dive school and leaves me very concerned for the wildlife of the Columbian coast if these practices are emulated from the learner divers this school qualifies.

I can only hope that the school reads this review and addresses these matters as a matter of urgency.

What an amazing day of diving! July 4th will be easy to remember for many years. Since my nephew and his new wife were coming to Colombia to visit we chartered a private boat with an additional dive master / mistress to calm the nerves of the newest diver. It worked beautifully, so well that she even joined the night dive! The crew could not have been more helpful or energetic. And the species were too many to list. We will definitely return to Taganga, and when we do, Ocean Lovers will be at the top of our list.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Ocean Lovers Taganga for snorkeling. I'm sure they are very good for diving excursions/lessons, but the snorkeling tour was disappointing. The 2 guides went with the divers and left us to snorkel by ourself without any information or communication. During the second stop the boat was suddenly gone, apparently they went to pick up the divers. They came back for us a while later, but it was not a fun experience due to the lack of communication about it. We had expected some guidance for 120000 cop per person but were very disappointed it that area.
To end with a pro: the materials (snorkel, mask and fins) are good

100% recommendation!
We made the open water certificate and had the best service ever. The people are great and have many experience.you can choose in which language the lessons are.we had German and English as well, and liked both.

Amazing experience with ocean lovers! We did our Open Waters there and felt very safe and well treated. They pay a lot of attention to details, in order to make sure we learn all the basics skills to dive safely. The material we were provided was almost brand new.
On top of that we had a warm welcome, with the team being very helpful.

Es un lugar que tiene gran calidad de servicio, ofrecen múltiples cursos de certificación para buceo y otras actividades, en sus procedimientos se nota la calidad y profesionalismo, sentí que era gente seria la que me estaba enseñando a bucear y me sentí muy segura durante el curso.
Recomiendo este lugar para hacer cursos de certificación PADI además de buceo recreativo, sus equipos están en buen estado y se nota que cuidan de ellos además de tener las regulaciones de calidad exigidas para ellos.

My wife and I recently did “Open Water” course here. Our experience with instruction Jorge was really great and fun. We felt he is extremely qualified and was always ready to help us. Communication via whatsapp with Ocean lovers team was easy and clear. There were no hidden fees and everything was included in the course price. We also really loved the dive sites, that were in Tayrona national park.

My experience with Ocean Lovers Taganga was more than amazing. I did six dives across two days and every dive was unique and exceptional. The amount of varying aquatic and coral life I saw at each spot was amazing to see. All of the staff were above and beyond and treated my friends and I as if we were their family. Jonny is a phenomenal dive master keeping everyone safe and has the best eyes for being able to find everything and anything we wanted to see. The boat crew were fantastic as well, providing us with fresh fruits from the market and sharing many laughs with us on the boat. I can not express how much I recommend Ocean Lovers Taganga, thank you for providing such a fantastic time Jonny (Divemaster), Jose-Captain, Jose-uno, Jose-dos (Boat crew), Ada, Dani & Lissi (Office staff).

Einfach eine super Tauchschule! Ich habe hier 2 Fundives und auch den Advanced Open Water Kurs gemacht. Die Komunikation verlief problemlos über Whatsapp (auch auf Deutsch und Englisch), das Team war super nett und es wurde auch immer geholfen oder Tipps gegeben. Nach den Tauchgängen wurde auch oft noch zusammen gescherzt oder etwas getrunken, es war sehr familiär.
Ich kann somit diese Tauchschule 100% weitermpfehlen!
