The cafe here is a great spot to relax before or after visiting the waterfalls. Enjoy the peaceful garden with really good food, juice or a beer. The muffin de mora is dangerously tasty!

Villa Verde is very well located to explore the mountain (Marinka Waterfalls is a 3 minute walk and Minca only 45 minutes on foot or 20 minutes by moto taxi). There's all the comfort you wish for to make your stay enjoyable but it's the tranquility of the place, with only natural noises, a very soothing continuous rush of the river on the property, jungle all around and the darkness at night (no light pollution here) that will make your stay bliss. Food is good and plenty. Their curry, with herbs from the organic garden, is amazing and the coffee from their plantation is great. The owners are a Columbian- Swiss couple who respect your need for privacy yet also understand when conversation is welcomed. With their fascinating backgrounds and knowledge of the local community, conversations are rich. Even if you're not staying here, their curry is so worth the climb up.
