Salsa School Rumba y Salsa

Tuvimos una muy buena experiencia aprendiendo aquí, ¡los instructores son muy acogedores y amables! Solo tomamos un curso de 5 horas y decidimos extenderlo porque sentimos que aprendimos mucho en tan poco tiempo. También es un ambiente muy divertido, nos reímos mucho aprendiendo con Andrea y Tania, cada lección fue divertida y práctica y ¡recomendaríamos aprender aquí a cualquiera!

Una escuela estupenda donde uno se siente como parte de una grande familia. Hay una súper buena onda entre los profesores, calidad en la enseñanza y muchas ventajas para los alumnos.
Muchas gracias a mi profe Enyer que me ha hecho descubrir y amar a la salsa y a la bachata. Gracias por su paciencia, su energía, su sonrisa, su sentido del humor y su aptitud a adaptarse a mi ritmo. Gracias por su enseñanza y muchas felicidades por haber conseguido que aprenda a dejarme llevar (por lo menos de vez en cuando.). Eres un crack! Que sepas que sigo progresando y todo eso gracias a ti.
Estoy con muchas ganas de tener la oportunidad de volver a visitaros y seguir aprendiendo de vosotros.

Tomé clases con Andrés y Gabriela: ¡una experiencia increíble! Son muy pacientes, incluso si no tienes experiencia previa. ¡Y sobre todo te divertirás! ¡Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

Quería aprender a bailar como el líder (que se hace llamar líder - hoy en día, por lo que antes se llamaba simplemente: hombre.). Me preocupaba un poco si sería fácil aprender como yo quería o si habría alguna imposición, como que una mujer tiene que ser "la persona guiada" (ella se autodenomina seguidora). Si me sintiera incómodo en alguna situación. ¡Pero nada de eso! En la escuela, cada uno baila como quiere bailar, puede ser un líder, un seguidor, realizar solos exuberantes, excéntricos, entusiastas (¡bailar solo se llama brillar!). En definitiva, haz lo que sientas: pon tu flow.y tu sabor!
La escuela está llena de actividades todo el tiempo por lo que además de clases privadas también hay clases de instrumento, clases de hip hop, danzas africanas, danza sensual. Hay fiestas. ¡Fresco! Son complementos para complejizar los movimientos y entender de dónde vienen, o hacia dónde pueden ir y desarrollarse también.
Yisel, mi querida maestra, tuvo mucha enseñanza y paciencia. ¡¡Las clases fueron muy divertidas y sentí mucho progreso! También destaca Alex, profesor de Hip Hop, que se esmera en que cada uno se exprese a su manera sin caer en moldes, repeticiones aburridas y fórmulas ya hechas.
¡También me encantaron las clases de instrumento! ¡Cambiaron de maestros cada semana y todos fueron geniales mientras estuve allí! ¡Mucho ritmo!

Amazing school, levels above other salsa lessons I've had. Staff are very friendly and the place feels very homely in the sense that you know people personally and they seem to care about you and your progress rather than just looking at you as a client.

Excellent salsa school! There is a family atmosphere and everyone is always nice and smiling. My teacher Yisel is amazing! I learned a lot from her and the classes were fun with a good vibe. Recommend!

I took classes with Jhon Mario and he was a fantastic instructor, highly recommend! It Can see daunting at first, but jhon mario was very patient and broke the steps down into manageable pieces to easily learn. Just in a few classes you’ll learn a lot!

I took an intense 2-hour session with Jefferson to brush up on my caleño style. We worked first on technique and then practiced incorporating techniques and moves into social dancing. I’m a high intermediate level and Jefferson met me at my level. I should also mention it was a really fun class and I would do it again in a heart beat. It was also great that the owner, Victor, was there to greet me and chat. Highly recommend this place for salsa caleña!

The School of Rumba and Salsa is a great place to learn salsa, bachata and other dances. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The school holds several events during the week which are always good. If you choose to take dance lessons here, make sure to ask for Yuya. She is an amazing instructor. She is kind, fun and patient with you as you stumble around trying to keep count and keep a rhythm with the music. She is a beautiful and elegant dancer and a fantastic teacher. Thank you Yuya for showing me some moves. I will always remember them hahaha Thanks!

I have never danced in my life before so I was a little scepticle about Salsa dancing. However the lessons with Fanor were so much fun and at the same time helpfull. He is very patient, a good dancer and hilarious at the same time. I was planning on taking 5 classes, but I am defenitly going to extend them! I fell in love with Salsa and this dance school.

Excellent Salsa school!
I studied ten classes with Fanor and made a huge progress. He is a great dancer and teacher and so kind and patient. At first it was very difficult for me to turn around, but he didn't give up on me.

I participated in Tania's group lesson of Lady Style, and it was so cool! It's important for a women not just to know the steps, but also how to move with a lot of grace:)

Had an amazing time here and learnt a huge amount. All the teachers are super friendly and really know their stuff, and not just about salsa and bachata: between them they can teach you reggaeton, hip-hop, contemporary, folk dances etc. From the few other places I checkout out, this was the best priced, at 30k COP per hour of private class, if you buy a 10hr package. This package also included some courtesy group classes every week. The school also organised some regular rumba - which was a nice touch - with free shows, socials, parties, and activities at the weekend. Shout out to Profe Alondra - brought great energy to class that made it a real pleasure to learn from her. I'm certain I'll be back soon, for the salsa and cos I still owe Alondra an ice cream.

La escuela está cerca a la zona de San Antonio, sobre la calle 5. Tiene instructores muy amables. Tomamos clases con mi esposa y nos gustó mucho. Alondra es una gran instructora, te da mucha confianza y se adapta a lo que necesitas. Queremos volver:)

Mi profe de baile Poncho me enseñó mucho en solamente 10 clases de baile. Aprendí muchos pasos básicos caleño, el sentimiento para la música y el ritmo de Salsa y los movimientos para mujeres. Estoy todavía aprendiendo porque me encanta las clases con el. Gracias Poncho ️

Nice and friendly. Great for beginners. They also speak English well so don't worry if you are worried you can't speak Spanish. Highly recommended.

Over the years I’ve developed a sense of which dance schools are a waste of time and money and which ones can take your dancing to the next level. Salsa y Rumba belongs to the latter category. The teachers are knowledgeable and will develop a program based on your situation. They not only focus on steps and figures, but also on the fundamentals of dancing, frame, leading and following, and connecting the music. You’ll go far with them. They speak Spanish/English and French.

So glad I took classes at this Salsa School with Victor! I had zero salsa experience coming in but in several classes I felt like I was actually dancing salsa Victor really knows how to teach at your level without overwhelming you but at the same time how to bring out the most out of you. My classes were a lot of fun! And the school is conveniently located by San Antonio, they easily accomodate your preferred times and the atmosphere at the school is just so friendly and relaxed and chill I would highly recommend Victor and his school if you want to dance some real salsa in Cali!

5 star experience. With the 10 hours package I was able to get from beginner to intermediate in salsa and bachata very fast.

Look at us SHINING! Thanks to Victor and the 10 classes we took with him, we took our dancing to a next level. We not only learned how to concur to dancefloor, but also truly enjoyed every lesson we shared. Wouldn't doubt on keep on taking classes again when we come back! Great classes and amazing vibe! Had private classes with Alex, who is an amazing and very patient teacher, but all the other teachers are very good as well. They have first free class 6-7pm for beginners. Recommended!

Friendly, welcoming, accommodating, inclusive, affordable; with talented and energetic instructors - among the best in the city. A gem of a school. Arriving as a novice, I planned on 2 weeks and stayed for more. And Victor, in my experience, is an exceptional teacher with skill and patience, second to none. Highly recommend Rumba y Salsa. Is there an option for 6 * * * * * *? !

This was the highlight of my trip to Cali! The best part is that we each get an individual instructor. I recommend anyone wanting to learn some salsa to take classes here. I feel much more comfortable dancing and can’t wait to come back and take classes with Victor again! 10/10 recomendado!
